Yes, there are special reflectors or reflective elements for recognition and high visibility vests. Common variants are

  • Reflective strips - silver strips made of retroreflective material, as known from high-visibility vests
  • Iron-on reflectors - for retrofitting onto fabric
  • Velcro reflectors - removable and interchangeable
  • Reflective patches or logos
  • Reflective films for DIY solutions
  • LED reflective combinations for particularly poor visibility

Reflectors are required depending on the intended use. Reflectors are not required for normal sporting events or for use as group identification, e.g. at ski schools. They are mainly required when the identification vest is used as a high visibility vest in road traffic. The relevant standards apply here.

The choice between Polycanvas and Polytrans fabric for identification vests depends on the intended service life and durability requirements. Polycanvas, at 205 g/m², is a robust fabric with excellent printing properties and is particularly suitable for long outdoor durability. This makes it ideal for regular use or when vests are exposed to frequent wear and tear. Polytrans, at 110 g/m², offers very good printability and good durability for outdoor use, making it the first choice for occasional use, such as at events or short-term activities. Choose Polycanvas when durability and robustness are paramount, or Polytrans when flexibility and lower costs are more important.
