Celebrating with flags

Fire departments are integrated into the annual cycle of a community and like to carry their banner in front of the delegation. This is especially true at the beginning of May, when the patron saint, St. Florian, is celebrated.

Traditional flags also include banners, which have different meanings. Donor, commemorative and mourning banners are the most commonly used.

Traditional flag
