360°//GOOD ECONOMY AWARD was presented to five companies in different categories for the first time in 2023.

The winners are:

  • Fahnen-Gärtner GmbH (category: employees)
  • SONNENTOR Kräuterhandels GmbH (category: suppliers)
  • Windkraft Simonsfeld AG (category: financial partners)
  • CULUMNATURA Wilhelm Luger GmbH (Category: Customers)
  • R.U.S.Z Franchising GmbH (Category: Social Environment)

These companies stand out in particular for their consistent implementation of actions geared towards the common good. Sustainability is not a purely ecological issue, but requires an overall view of all areas that includes economic aspects as well as people and nature. All of this is behind the Economy for the Common Good and the award. FAHNENGÄRTNER has been a company certified for the common good since 2019 and was able to achieve a measurable increase in existing quality in the 2022 recertification.

What is behind the award

Living human dignity is reflected in an employee-oriented corporate culture based on respect, appreciation and trust. Diversity in the workforce is seen and used as an opportunity. People take center stage and are not seen as a production factor. A meaningful workplace also includes good training and further education. These measures form the basis for a respectful and appreciative corporate culture, which is also characterized by the opportunity for regular feedback meetings. Ideas and suggestions for improvement from employees are jointly assessed for suitability and implemented accordingly. Diversity and tolerance are also considered valuable sources of successful teamwork.

For Gerald Heerdegen (CEO), this award is a special distinction that fits in seamlessly with past successes: "The 360°//GOOD ECONOMY AWARD in the area of employees demonstrates to the outside world exactly what we have been practising internally for years. Sustainable employee management with a lot of heart and mind is the key to success. Talent orientation is at the heart of this, along with other feel-good criteria. The award is a great honor for me, as I am particularly pleased when humanity is also perceived from the outside. It also shows me that my work in this area is important, possibly even more important than ever. I will definitely continue to work here with my team so that we can improve. But we will also continue with the other areas of corporate management geared towards the common good in terms of sustainability. We are looking forward to our upcoming re-certification."
