Custom-made products for traditional clubs: standards and sashes with heart and history

The importance of standards and sashes
Materials and workmanship: quality counts
To ensure that standards and sashes retain their beauty for many years to come, it is important to use the right materials:
- Fine fabrics: High-quality flag rib, satin or velvet ensure an appealing look and pleasant wearing comfort.
- Robust embroidery: Gold or silver embroidery gives the sashes and standards an elegant touch and emphasizes their traditional significance.
- Fringes & embellishments: Golden or silver fringes and ornate appliqués add stylish accents.
Individual design: tradition meets creativity
Every club history is unique. This is exactly what should be reflected in the custom-made products. You can customize the following elements with us:
- Club logo or crest: Available in high-quality embroidery or print for maximum attention to detail.
- Dates and club names: To show off the club's long history.
- Symbols and colors: Depending on the club tradition, certain colors and motifs can have a special meaning.
- Individual sayings or slogans: Personal mottoes or solemn words underline the identity of the club.
- Images of saints: On request, we can integrate suitable saint motifs (particularly relevant for religious or regional clubs).
Most traditional products are produced using classic embroidery, high-quality digital printing or a combination of print and embroidery. This means that customer wishes regarding design, budget and quantity can be ideally taken into account.
Occasions for standards and sashes
Customer example: How tradition is lived and presented at the Bundesmusikkapelle Fügen
We were able to implement a particularly beautiful project together with a traditional club from Tyrol. The original plan was simply to restore the old standard and the existing
sashes. However, during the first meeting, the Fügen brass band expressed the wish to produce a new standard - modernized, but with clear references to the historical original.
The result:
An individually designed standard with the new club logo, produced using a high-quality combination of artificial and automatic embroidery - a combination of craftsmanship and modern technology. The Tyrolean eagle was artfully embroidered and attached directly to the flag leaf. The burgundy side and the border of the beige side were completely machine embroidered.
Care and storage: ensuring longevity
Standards and sashes have different care requirements. However, both deserve special attention in order to preserve their beauty in the long term.
Standards:
- Hanging storage: If possible, standards should be stored hanging to avoid creases. They are best stored in special protective packaging or cupboards. Caution: Do not forget moth protection!
- No direct light: UV radiation can cause colors to fade, so please do not store in direct sunlight.
- Cover with a cloth: A light cotton cloth provides additional protection from dust and light.
- Proper transportation: Protective rain covers should be used, especially in damp weather.
- Drying after rain: After use in damp weather, be sure to allow to dry completely to prevent damage from moisture.
- Professional cleaning: Professional cleaning is necessary to preserve colors and materials.
Sashes:
- Store flat or rolled: flat storage or careful rolling is recommended to avoid creases. Sashes should also be stored in special protective packaging (remember to use moth protection).
- Careful cleaning: Embroidery and delicate fabrics should be cleaned professionally.
If minor damage occurs after years, high-quality standards and sashes can often be restored. You can find more tips on caring for traditional and club flags here !
