Flag production from A-Z

We are the only flag manufacturer in Austria with the ability to print flags on a large scale using both screen and digital printing (direct and sublimation printing) at one location (Mittersill). A graphics department for print preparation as well as in-house assembly and installation also guarantee short delivery times.

Individual prints are no problem due to the central production in Salzburg. You can order large special sizes or individual special shapes from us at any time.

FAHNENGÄRTNER has been an innovation leader for decades and works continuously on the further development of products and processes. The co-development and market launch of the ColorBooster DS (2012) or production optimization through photovoltaics and heat recovery (since 2015) are just some of the milestones of recent years.

We are committed to sustainable management and sustainable products, as well as sustainable production. As an OEKO-TEX® STeP certified company, we stand by our responsibility. We have been a Climate Alliance company since 2011 and also support the SALZBURG 2050 climate and energy strategy. We live sustainability and want to be part of a positive future.

With our photovoltaic and heat recovery system, we already generate 50% of our annual energy consumption ourselves.

Traditional flags
Made in Austria

In addition to bunting, flags and the production of advertising materials, we flag makers have also mastered the craft of artistic embroidery for decades. Church and club flags are embroidered and sewn by hand in our in-house workshop. Other traditional products such as standards, mourning ribbons, sashes, honorary or commemorative banners are also lovingly produced with the highest level of expertise.

Family business with a history

Gerald Heerdegen has been CEO of the Austrian flag factory FAHNENGÄRTNER since 2005. Previously, his father Volker Heerdegen managed the company, which was founded by Arnold and Anni Gärtner in 1945, between 1978 and 2005. Over the decades, a small company with six employees has become one of the largest manufacturers of textile advertising materials in Austria.
