Sustainable flag production: how we conserve resources and ensure quality
Environmentally friendly materials and printing processes
The first step towards sustainable products starts with the raw materials used. We rely on fabrics that are robust and weatherproof as well as environmentally friendly. We pay attention to recycled fibers and pollutant-free textiles. We use water-based or ecologically harmless inks for printing.
The processes themselves also make a contribution: modern digital printing technologies significantly reduce energy and water consumption while ensuring brilliant, color-fast results. In this way, we combine environmental protection with the high quality that our customers expect.
Recycled flag fabrics: a second life for materials
Recycling plays a central role for us. Many of our flag fabrics are made from recycled polyester, which is obtained from PET bottles, for example. Around 44 bottles are recycled per kilogram of yarn. This corresponds to around 28 bottles per standard flag. In this way, waste is turned into a new, high-quality raw material.
There are also creative forms of upcycling that can delay the end of the flag fabric's life. Leftover fabric or disused flags can be turned into bags, accessories or everyday helpers in workshops or DIY projects. This extends the life of the material and conserves resources.
Resource-saving production
Our production at the Mittersill site is designed for sustainability. Energy-efficient machines, heat recovery and our own photovoltaic system help us to constantly reduce our energy consumption. A closed water cycle enables us to reuse process water - an important step towards saving valuable resources.
We are also careful when using materials: Digital planning and precise cutting prevent unnecessary waste. Any leftover materials are recycled or reused wherever possible.
Quality and sustainability go hand in hand
For us, sustainability is not just limited to production, but also to the longevity of our products. A flag that can be used twice as long automatically saves raw materials and emissions. One example of this is our Powerflag, which is at least twice as durable as conventional models and saves CO₂ at the same time.
In addition, services such as Powerwash (professional cleaning) and Powerrepair (repair) extend the service life of our products. Instead of throwing them away, our motto is: maintain, preserve and reuse. This is both ecologically sensible and economically attractive for our customers.
